Henderson Art Project

Steve Van Gelder   An exposed backbone reminiscent of a dinosaur fossil breaks through the green grass.

This would be built from wooden industrial cable spools, adapted and with raw plywood, recycled as much as possible. The bottom will be cut flat and seated on a gravel for drainage and stakes to secure them.

The shadows will change with sun, and the yellow wood will age and weather over the 2 years of project.

The large scale will read for the drive-by audiences.

I would not be unhappy if the raw wood attracted the neighborhood graffiti artists.
